This prism could be the spirit of the listener.\u201d<\/em>(Arvo P\u00e4rt)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"two-thirds\">Ik ben altijd al ge\u00efnteresseerd in minimale, serene klankvelden en in de zomer van 2003 begon het idee om verstilde pianostukken te schrijven meer vorm te krijgen. Gedurende 15 dagen schreef ik iedere dag het geraamte van een stuk, nam het concept op. Na die 15 dagen mocht ik de resultaten pas terug luisteren, iedere dag \u00e9\u00e9n compositie. Ik werkte de concepten uit en er bleven 12 pianosuites over, die allen verband houden met elkaar. Ondanks dat er niet altijd een vast tempo gehanteerd wordt, is er duidelijk een vloeiende, stromende lijn te ontdekken; sommige delen hebben een pulserend karakter, sommige zijn meer golvend of repetitief. Alle delen zijn sferisch van aard, waar genoeg leegte en ruimte te beleven is. De omgeving waar de muziek klinkt is dan ook van belang; het is uitermate geschikt in een natuurlijke omgeving, zodat de muziek samensmelt met omgevingsgeluiden zoals windof zee.
